What Alley Oop is
Alley Oop is an independent comparison directory that estimates the landed cost of importing products to Central America. We are not a carrier, casillero, customs broker, or freight forwarder. We don't take payment from end users and we don't ship anything.
Estimates only
All shipping rates, taxes, duties, and customs fees shown on Alley Oop are estimates for planning purposes. Final pricing depends on the HS classification assigned by your country's customs authority at the time of clearance, carrier fuel surcharges, peak-season pricing, weight tolerances, and currency exchange. Alley Oop makes no guarantee that the actual delivered cost will match the estimate, and accepts no liability for differences between estimated and actual costs.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We try to keep tax rates and carrier data current, but customs rules and tariffs change frequently and we may not reflect every change in real time.
Affiliate disclosure
Some carrier links on Alley Oop may earn us a referral commission if you book a shipment after clicking through. This never affects the order, ranking, or pricing shown to you — carriers are ranked by true landed cost only.
Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempting to overload our infrastructure, no using the service to facilitate illegal imports.
Intellectual property
The Alley Oop name, design, and content are ours. Carrier names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes will be resolved in Costa Rica.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
